Ace Enterprise Park’s Waste Diversion Success with KeyGreen

Author(s): Oscar Juarez, 27/11/2025

The Background

Ace Enterprise Park is home to a thriving community of businesses and innovators in Clondalkin. With a wide mix of business units, Co-working spaces, training and conference rooms, shared kitchen for food start-ups and shared canteen spaces, Ace recognised the importance of embedding sustainable practices across the park. They wanted to reduce reliance on general waste, increase recycling and composting, and engage both staff and occupants in practical, impactful sustainability actions.

The Challenge

As an enterprise park with multiple users, Ace Enterprise Park faced the challenge of ensuring consistent waste segregation across diverse businesses and staff. Waste was often misplaced into general waste, leading to lost opportunities for recycling and organic waste. The park sought to strengthen awareness and create a culture of sustainability across its community while demonstrating the benefits of circular solutions onsite.

The Solutions

Following a site visit and sustainability waste assessment, KeyGreen partnered with Ace Enterprise Park to implement a tailored waste management strategy:

  • Tailored signage and bin labelling in the canteen, business units, shared
kitchen and office areas, helping staff and occupants easily identify the correct
    bins.
  • Awareness and training on compost bin best practices for business units and
staff, capturing previously lost waste that had been ending up in general
    waste.
  • Repurposing compost produced onsite, using 8kg of organic compost for
Ace’s own gardens and outdoor greenery - bringing circular sustainability to
    life at the park.

The Result

  • 25% increase in organic waste diversion.
  • 5% reduction in general waste.
  • 8kg of compost generated and reused onsite for gardening and landscaping.
  • Improved staff and occupant awareness and engagement, strengthening sustainable practices across the park.
