REL Truck Driver / Skip Truck Driver

This is a dynamic role for highly organised and enthusiastic truck drivers who want to work with one of Ireland’s most progressive and fast-growing Waste Management and recycling companies. Previous driver experience and relevant licences are essential for this role.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Pre - inspect your vehicle before leaving the company site

• Ensure all collections/ deliveries are made in a professional and timely manner

• To resolve issues/queries effectively and to escalate to relevant departments where necessary.

• Reporting to Transport Manager throughout the day

• Report any Incidents/Accident to the Transport Manager

• Follow route and time schedule

• To establish good working relationships with customers and colleagues

• Comply with Health and Safety regulations

• Report any malfunctions/faults with the truck to the Transport Manager

• To ensure that the truck is refuelled at the end of shift

• Ad hoc duties as requested.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Good interpersonal and communication skills required.

• Must hold all relevant C Licence/Driver Digital Card/CPC Card.

• A good level of written and spoken English is an advantage.

• Excellent driving history with accident free record.

Bin Truck Helper

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure all collections/ deliveries are made in a professional and timely manner

• Assists the driver in providing prompt, courteous and complete waste removal services for customers on a designated route.

• Support the driver in manoeuvring the truck by directing the him/her from the ground

• Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle, as well as the route and work area.

• Report any Incidents/Accident to the Transport Manager

• Follow route and time schedule

• To establish good working relationships with customers and colleagues

• Comply with Health and Safety regulations

• Ad hoc duties as requested.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Acts in a professional, courteous and cooperative manner

• A good level of written and spoken English is an advantage.

Shovel Driver

As a Loading Shovel Driver, you will be responsible for operating a loading shovel to transport materials safely and efficiently around our site. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that operations run smoothly and that safety standards are maintained.

MINIMUM 2 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
IN-HOUSE TRAINING PROVIDED

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a loading shovel to load and move materials around the site.
  • Ensure materials are handled efficiently and with care, minimizing waste and damage.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on the shovel to ensure it remains in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all company health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Assist with other site duties as required, including general labouring tasks.
  • Report any equipment issues or safety hazards to the site supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Loading Shovel Driver at a Waste or Construction facility
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures in an industrial setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible and willing to work shifts as required.
